Erica Lodge
Erica Lodge is out in Willington, next to the marina. It's a detached place on the quieter side, so you get a view of the water. It was built in 2021, so everything is pretty new.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms: one king-size with its own shower, and two twins. There's a main bathroom as well. The whole place has a bit of a boating theme inside.
It's open plan downstairs. The kitchen has what you need, and the dining table looks out to the veranda. You can eat outside there if the weather's good. The lounge has two big sofas, a TV, and a stove for heat. There's fast broadband and the TV has all the streaming apps. There's also a field scope for looking at birds on the water.
The marina itself has some facilities. Willington village is walking distance. There's a couple of pubs and shops there.
You're well placed for getting out. Carsington Water is just up the road for walks or cycling. The Peak District is about a 20 minute drive. You can be at Chatsworth House or in Bakewell in half an hour. Derby city centre is about 15 minutes away if you need something bigger.
Practical stuff: it's a 4 Star place. Parking is right outside. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, and all the bedding and towels are included. The garden is yours to use.
