The Hideaway
The Hideaway is in Ticknall, Derbyshire. It's one of three converted barns in a row. They all have their own look and feel, but this one is for two people.
It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's finished to a high standard. Everything is new. Big windows and bi-folding doors let a lot of light in and look out over the fields.
Inside it's all open plan downstairs. The kitchen has modern appliances and an island. Upstairs is the bedroom and a bathroom. The bathroom has both a walk-in shower and a freestanding bath. Robes and slippers are provided.
Outside, you have a private terrace with a hot tub. There's also a private driveway for your car.
The village shop and a couple of pubs are about a mile away. Melbourne is close and has more shops and places to eat.
You're on the edge of The National Forest, so there's walking and cycling right from the door. For a day out, Calke Abbey is very close. It's a National Trust house with extensive grounds. Staunton Harold Reservoir is nearby for sailing.
The Peak District is about a 30 minute drive. That gets you to places like Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, and Bakewell.
In terms of facilities, it has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's bike storage if you need it. The whole place is on one level except for the stairs up to the bedroom.
