Baytree Lodge

Baytree Lodge is one of the Sandbanks Lodges near Melbourne. It sleeps four people in two bedrooms and has one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.

The lodge is all on one level, which is good if you don't want stairs. It's open plan inside. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower. Outside, there's a decked area with seating. You look out over the woodlands.

You're on the edge of the National Forest here. A footpath from the site goes straight into it for walks. If you drive about a quarter of a mile, you're into the Peak District. Melbourne itself is about a mile away. It's a nice market town with shops and pubs. The local pub and a shop are about a mile from the lodge.

For days out, Calke Abbey is close by and worth a visit. It's a National Trust house with a lot of land. Staunton Harold reservoir is nearby too. The big inland marina at Willington is about four miles away. Donington Park race circuit is also close, if that's your sort of thing.

Further into the Peak District, places like Chatsworth House, Bakewell, and Matlock are all within a 30 minute drive.

In terms of what's here: there's parking, WiFi, a TV, and bedding and towels are included. The entrance is wheelchair accessible. No pets, sorry.
