No.3 Meynell Mews

This is No.3 Meynell Mews in Breedon on the Hill. It's one of three cottages that were done up together about ten years ago, so it's well looked after. It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. They're all Grade II listed, so they look the part from the outside but they're modern inside.

The location is handy. East Midlands Airport is about a fifteen minute drive, if you're picking someone up or flying in. The village has a pub about a hundred yards away, which does meals. There's also a chocolate shop there, which people seem to like.

The cottage itself is straightforward. Both bedrooms have their own bathrooms, which is useful. There's a small patio garden out the back with a table and chairs. Parking is right outside. It's got a woodburning stove for cooler evenings, and the wifi is fine.

For things to do locally, Willington Marina is a few miles away if you're interested in boats. Calke Abbey is a National Trust place nearby, good for a walk. Donington Park, for the racing and festivals, is very close.

You're about thirty minutes' drive from the edge of the Peak District. That gets you to places like Bakewell or Chatsworth. Closer to home, Melbourne is a nice market town about ten minutes away with some good places to eat.

We accept up to two dogs. There's a washing machine and dishwasher, and all the bedding and towels are included.
