This is No.2 Meynell Mews, in Breedon on the Hill. It's a terrace cottage, one of three in a row. They're old, Grade II listed buildings but they've been done up inside. You get a small patio area to yourself at the back.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Both have their own bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped, not just basic. Everything's included, like bedding and towels.
The village pub is about a minute's walk away. It does food and has a chocolate shop inside it, which is a bit different. The local shop is a five minute walk.
You're out in the countryside but it's not remote. East Midlands Airport is about a 15 minute drive if you're picking someone up. Willington Marina is a short drive away, maybe 10 minutes. If you're into cars or bikes, Donington Park is close. They have race meetings and the Download Festival.
For a day out, Melbourne is a nice market town about ten minutes by car. Lots of places to eat. Calke Abbey is about 20 minutes away. It's a National Trust place with a big house and parkland. National Trust Calke Abbey.
The Peak District is within half an hour. You can be at the southern end of the park near places like Bakewell or Matlock Bath without too much driving. Peak District National Park.
Inside, it's got what you'd need: a dishwasher, washing machine, Wi-Fi. There's bike storage if you bring them. It's all on one level from the entrance, so it's accessible if you have mobility issues. You can bring two dogs. There's parking right outside.
