Olive Lodge is in Melbourne, Derbyshire. It's a single storey lodge, so everything is on one level. The main doors open into a big open plan room with the kitchen, dining and living area. There's a large granite island in the kitchen. The living area has a wood burner and bifold doors that go out to the patio.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and each one has its own ensuite bathroom, which is handy. The main bedroom has a balcony looking into the woods and a big bathroom with a separate bath and shower.
It has a 5 Star rating. That means it's well finished and has everything you'd need. It's designed to be accessible, so the entrance and layout work for wheelchair users.
You're about a mile from the village. There's a shop, a pub and a restaurant there. The lodge feels quite rural, you're looking into woodland.
If you're driving out, Melbourne is nice to walk around. It's got a big pond, a church and some interesting old buildings. Calke Abbey is very close. For a longer day out, The Peak District National Park is about a 30 minute drive. Derby is roughly 20 minutes away if you need a bigger town.
