The Threshing Barn is near Foremark, in South Derbyshire. It's a barn conversion on what used to be the Foremark Hall estate. Sleeps fourteen, but it's only four bedrooms. They're all big rooms with their own bathrooms. It works for a few families together, or a big group.
The main thing is the space inside. It's tall, with all the old beams on show. The dining area goes right up to the roof. You get the whole garden to yourselves. It's a decent size, with a patio and a barbecue.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's well-equipped, not just basic. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, that sort of thing. Bedding is provided. You can bring up to two dogs.
The location is quiet. You're on the edge of The National Forest. Good for walks straight from the door. Foremark Hall is next door, you can see it from the garden. It's a nice building. There's a shop and a pub in Repton, about a mile away.
If you want to go out, you're in a good spot. Calke Abbey is about ten minutes by car. Staunton Harold Reservoir is good for a walk, maybe fifteen minutes. The bigger attractions like The Peak District or Derby are within half an hour. Conkers, in the National Forest, is about twenty minutes away if you've got children.
Parking is on site. There is a cot and a highchair if you need them.
