The Hays

The Hays is in Burton Ferry, on the Cleddau Estuary in Pembrokeshire. It's a one-bedroom annexe attached to our house. It sleeps two.

The view is the main thing actually. It's over the water, looking west. You get the sunsets and you can watch the boats. It's raised up, so you see a lot from the windows.

It's all on the ground floor. There's a living room with a fake fire that looks alright. The kitchen has what you need. The bathroom has a shower over the bath.

You've got your own bit of garden out the front to sit in. There's parking right there.

There's a restaurant about ten minutes walk along the road. They do food and have a garden that goes down to the water. In summer they have a pontoon for crabbing.

For a bigger shop, you need to drive to Neyland or Pembroke, which is about ten minutes away. Pembroke has the castle and a few places to eat.

The coast is about a fifteen to twenty minute drive. You've got Barafundle, Freshwater West, Broad Haven. Tenby is about half an hour. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path is the big draw for walking. You can get boat trips to Skomer Island from Martins Haven or Neyland to see the puffins in season.

In the cottage there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
