Sanderling
Sanderling is a holiday chalet in Freshwater East Holiday Village. It's a four-star chalet, which means it's modern and well-equipped. It sleeps four people in two bedrooms and has one bathroom.
The chalet is a short walk from the beach, maybe five minutes. Freshwater East beach is sandy with dunes. It's good for swimming and paddling. It doesn't usually get too busy.
The coastal path runs right past the site. You can walk east towards Stackpole and Barafundle Bay, or west towards Freshwater West. Freshwater West is a famous surfing beach. Visit Pembrokeshire has good coastal path information.
On the site itself, there's a pub and restaurant at the entrance. It serves pub food. There isn't a shop on site. The nearest proper supermarket is in Pembroke Dock, which is about a 15-minute drive. You can get grocery deliveries sent here.
You'll need a car here to make the most of it. The site is a bit out of the way. Tenby is about a 20-minute drive and has plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants. Pembroke Castle is about 15 minutes away. The National Trust has a lot of properties nearby, like Stackpole.
Inside, it's open plan. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. There's a TV and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You park right outside. There's a small patio area.
No pets are allowed anywhere on the holiday village site. You also can't charge an electric vehicle at the chalet. There are public chargers in Pembroke Dock.
If you have a bigger group, you can book the chalet next door, Sandpiper, at the same time.
