Sanderling is a chalet in Freshwater East. It's in the holiday village there, so it's one of quite a few. You've got your own bit of patio garden outside.
It's a two bedroom place, sleeps four. There's one bathroom with a shower. Parking is right outside. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean, comfortable, and everything works. It's not huge, but it's well set up.
The beach is about a five minute walk. It's sandy, good for paddling. You can get onto the coast path from there very easily. For surfing, you'd want to go to Freshwater West, which is about a ten minute drive.
There's a pub and restaurant on the site at the entrance. The food is standard pub stuff. There isn't a shop on the site. The nearest proper supermarket is in Pembroke Dock. If you want a delivery, you can get one from there.
Inside, it's all open plan downstairs. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. All the bedding and towels are included. You can't charge an electric vehicle at the chalet, but there are points at the supermarket in Pembroke Dock.
No pets are allowed, anywhere on the site.
It's a good base for getting out. Tenby is about fifteen minutes in the car. For walking, the coast path is right there. If you want to plan days out, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park site has all the information. Also, National Trust Pembrokeshire for places like Stackpole and Barafundle.
