This is Shepherds Lodge. It's on our sheep farm, down a quiet lane in Lamphey. It's an old shepherd's cottage we've done up. Sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable.
You're on a working farm. That means you'll see sheep and hear the usual farm noises. The track down to the cottage is a bit bumpy. There's a private courtyard at the back. It catches the evening sun.
Inside, it's straightforward. We've put in a woodburner for cooler nights. There's a shower, not a bath. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. All the bedding and towels are provided. There's WiFi and parking right outside.
The lane outside is good for a quiet walk. The ruins of Lamphey Bishop's Palace are about a ten minute stroll away. It's managed by Cadw.
The nearest pub and shop are in the village, about a mile away. The coast is two miles. You can be on the beach at Stackpole or Freshwater West in under ten minutes by car. Tenby and Saundersfoot are about fifteen minutes drive. They have the classic harbour fronts and beaches.
For wider trips, Pembroke Castle is close by. The whole Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is on the doorstep. You can get to St Davids in about forty minutes.
No pets, I'm afraid. The farm doesn't allow it.
