Shute Cottage is in Manorbier, near Tenby. It's a detached house, mostly old. Sleeps eight across four bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. You can bring one dog.
The cottage sits in its own five acres of land. There's a spring-fed lake up the valley behind it. The land is big and a bit wild. It's sheltered in the valley.
Manorbier Beach is about a three minute walk from the front door. It's a good beach for rock pools and surfing sometimes. The coastal path runs right past it. You can walk for miles either way. There are smaller beaches you can find along the cliffs.
The village has a shop, a cafe, and a pub with a garden. All are useful. Manorbier Castle is very close. You can visit it and climb up. The Norman church is just next to the cottage.
Inside, it has stone vaulted ceilings and an open plan kitchen. The stairs are the original cottage stairs, so they're steep and a bit uneven. There's a log burner in the sitting room. One double bedroom has its own bathroom attached. The other two twin rooms share a bathroom. There's also a timber chalet in the garden with two beds and its own shower room. It's basic but fine for extra space.
There's an enclosed courtyard out the back, which is safe if you have small children. The garden is big but not all fenced. Parking is on site.
Tenby is about ten minutes' drive away. It has shops, restaurants, and a harbour. Tenby Golf Club is there. For planning days out, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority site is useful, and the National Trust Wales page has good information for the area.
Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi, and a BBQ. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, highchair, and a stairgate if you need them.
