This is Springfield in Lamphey. It's a bungalow, so everything is on one level. That's handy. It's detached and you get the garden to yourself. It's enclosed, which is good if you've got kids or a dog.
It sleeps eight people in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. We had it all refurbished a couple of years ago, so it's in good order. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The main room is open plan, kitchen, dining and living area together. It gets a lot of light. The kitchen is a galley style, modern. It's got a dishwasher and a washing machine.
Outside, there's a lawned garden. It's a decent spot for a barbecue. You can hear the sea from here on a quiet day.
Lamphey is a small village. There's a shop, a couple of places to eat, and the ruins of the Bishops Palace are a short walk away. Pembroke town is about a five minute drive. The castle there is where Henry VII was born.
The beach at Freshwater East is about a mile away. You can drive it in five minutes, or walk it in maybe thirty five. It's a good, sandy beach for swimming. Tenby is about a fifteen minute drive. It's a proper seaside town with walls around it, lots of shops and places to eat.
For bigger days out, there are places like Oakwood Theme Park and Folly Farm within about half an hour. The whole coast is good for walking. The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park website has maps and ideas.
Practical stuff: bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair. There's parking on site. You can bring one dog. The place is wheelchair friendly at the entrance.
