The Anchorage is a big Georgian house in Pembroke town. It's about a ten minute walk to the castle, the Millponds, and the shops. It sleeps up to fourteen people.
There are seven bedrooms, most with their own bathroom. It's got a five star rating, meaning the finish is high quality. It's spread over four floors, so there are quite a lot of stairs. They're the original wide staircase.
The kitchen and dining area is on the lower ground floor. It's open plan with a big island. There are two dishwashers and two fridges, which is useful for a group that size. There's a cinema room on that floor too, and a hot tub outside.
For wet coats and boots, there's a separate wet room and utility area in the old wash house outside. You can lock bikes up there.
The best beach for swimming is probably Freshwater West, which is about a twenty minute drive. Tenby is a bit further, maybe half an hour. It's got the coloured houses and boat trips. Folly Farm zoo and Heatherton are also within a half hour drive.
The Pembrokeshire Coast Path is right there. You can pick it up by the castle and walk for miles. Useful links if you're planning: Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and Visit Pembrokeshire.
Facilities: all bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, tumble dryer, and two dishwashers. WiFi and TV. Highchair and cot available. Enclosed garden with a BBQ. You can bring up to two dogs.
