This is Nash Fields Cottage. It's at the end of a long private track, up above the village of Hook, looking out over the water towards the Preseli Hills. It's completely detached, so it's quiet. You just get the fields and the views. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs.
It sleeps six people. Three bedrooms and, usefully, three bathrooms. One bathroom each if you're two couples or a family. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. There are wooden beams and tiled floors, so it feels like a proper cottage. The fireplace in the living room is a big inglenook. It's a good room to sit in.
Hook and Llangwm are down the hill. Llangwm is a proper old fishing village around an inlet. There's a village shop, a post office, and a couple of pubs. One of them does food. They used to be known for cockles and oysters here. They have a scarecrow festival in July, which is a bit of fun. New Year's Day has a fireworks display over the water.
For the coast, you're well placed. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path is about a ten-minute drive. Dale is fifteen minutes that way, and has a good beach and a castle. Haverfordwest is about twenty minutes for bigger shops. Pembroke Castle is half an hour. St Davids, with the cathedral and boat trips to Ramsey Island, is just over half an hour's drive.
Facilities: everything you'd expect is included – wifi, washing machine, all bedding and towels. There's a cot and a highchair. Parking for two cars right outside. You can bring up to two dogs. We put up some Christmas decorations if you're booking over that period.
