Bwthyn Bwlford
This is Bwthyn Bwlford. It's our place in Johnston, Pembrokeshire. It's attached to the farmhouse where we live, but it's completely private. You get your own garden and decking area, which is enclosed. The cottage looks out over our fields, about 13 acres in total. It's quiet.
The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's a stone cottage with original beams and windows, so the walls are thick and the rooms feel solid. The stairs are typical cottage stairs, so they're a bit steep and curved.
There's a pub about a ten minute walk down the lane. It's a proper local. The nearest shop is in Johnston, about three miles away.
You're well placed for the coast here. Broad Haven beach is about a ten minute drive. It's a good, sandy beach for families. From there you can walk along the coast path in either direction. Little Haven is a bit further along, a small fishing village with a couple of places to eat.
Milford Haven is a short drive for supermarkets and a bigger marina. If you're interested in wildlife, the boat trips to Skomer Island leave from Martin's Haven. You need to book those in advance. The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales has all the details.
Within half an hour you can drive to the West Wales Wildlife Park or Oakwood theme park.
On the property, there are a couple of ponds. You're welcome to do some catch and release fishing if you bring your own gear. There's also a hot tub on the private deck.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate. We accept up to two well-behaved dogs. Parking is right outside.
