The Hayloft

The Hayloft is on our farm, just outside Broadway in Pembrokeshire. It's the upstairs of an old stone barn we converted. You turn off the lane down our long farm track to get to it, so it's very quiet. You're surrounded by our land, mostly woods and fields.

It sleeps three people. There are two bedrooms and a bathroom up on a mezzanine level. The main living area is all open plan, with the kitchen and sitting room together. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and everything is fairly new, but it's not huge. The stairs are a curved wooden set, which is nice, but they are a bit steep.

You look out from the main room over a bit of woodland we have with ponds. The garden area is shared with our house, but it's a big space and you're welcome to use it. There's room to store a boat or kayaks if you bring them.

Broad Haven beach is less than five minutes away by car. It's a good sandy beach. You can launch small boats from there. Little Haven is close by too. The village has a couple of pubs, some places to eat, a shop and a post office.

If you want to go further, you can drive to Skomer Island for a boat trip to see the puffins. It's about half an hour. Picton Castle and its gardens are nearby and worth a visit if you like that sort of thing.

For facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, WiFi, and an enclosed patio area. Bedding and towels are included. We can store bicycles. No pets, sorry.
