Haroldston Lodge is in Pembrokeshire, near Broadhaven beach. You're down a track in the woods here, so it feels remote, but you can walk to the coast path or the beach in about ten or twenty minutes.
It's a cedar-wood lodge, so it's that sort of cabin feel. There's one bathroom, three bedrooms, and it sleeps five. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's clean and comfortable without any frills.
The main thing is the location. You're in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The lodge faces south and has big windows looking out over the slope and trees. There's a veranda across the front, which is a good spot to sit. We've got otters in the ponds nearby, so you might see one if you're quiet.
You get a private woodland path that leads you down to Broadhaven beach. It's about a kilometre. It's a good, sandy Blue Flag beach. There's a section where dogs aren't allowed in the summer, but the rest of it is fine for them. We take up to two pets.
There's parking for a car, and space for a boat trailer if you have one. The grounds have a fishing reservoir, a kids' play area, and plenty of space to wander. Wi-Fi is available but you pay for it separately online, and we reimburse you. It's a fiver for a week.
For a meal or a drink, The Ocean in Broadhaven is right on the seafront. There are other places to eat in Broadhaven and Little Haven too. The local pub is about a mile away.
You're well placed for getting out. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path is on your doorstep. You can drive to Haverfordwest for bigger shops. St Davids is about half an hour away. Useful links if you're planning: Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and National Trust Pembrokeshire.
