Druidston Old Farmhouse is near Haverfordwest in Pembrokeshire. It's a detached stone farmhouse, not overlooked, set back in the valley above Druidston beach. The beach is about a twenty minute walk down a footpath. The views from the upstairs sunroom and deck are very good, looking right out over St Brides Bay.
It sleeps eight in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one is an en-suite. It's got a 4 Star rating. The living room has a wood burner. The kitchen is modern and big, with a table in there. There's underfloor heating in the ground floor shower room. The place was renovated with sustainability in mind, so it has solar panels and a low-carbon heating system.
The sunroom and deck on the first floor make a big difference. You get the sea views and a lot of light. The garden has been designed as a wildlife garden, so it's full of birds and insects.
The Druidston Hotel is about a fifteen minute walk away, on the clifftop. It's family and dog friendly, does food, and has a garden. For a bigger beach, Broad Haven is a short drive. It's good for swimming and watersports. Little Haven is a small village with a cove, a couple of pubs, a shop, and a lifeboat station.
For days out, St Davids is less than half an hour's drive. It's a city, but a tiny one, with the cathedral and good boat trips. The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park website has all the walking maps. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coastline here too.
Facilities: there's parking for a few cars, an electric vehicle charger, WiFi, a dishwasher, a cot and highchair. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. The stairs inside are typical old farmhouse stairs, so they're a bit steep and turn a corner.
