Poppy's Footprint is in Middleham, in Wensleydale. It's a small, detached cottage for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's strange because it's completely round.
The garden is walled in, so it's sheltered and private. It's a sunny spot.
Being round means the layout inside is open plan. Everything is on the ground floor. There's a wet room shower. Because it's all one space, it's probably best for a couple rather than friends sharing.
Middleham itself is small. There are a few pubs and a shop within a few minutes' walk. The village is known for horse racing, so you'll see training gallops nearby. The castle ruins are just up the hill.
For days out, Leyburn is about three miles away for more shops. The Forbidden Corner is there, which is a bizarre garden with follies and tunnels. It's popular, so book ahead. Aysgarth Falls and the Wensleydale Creamery in Hawes are roughly a twenty minute drive. Jervaulx Abbey is about fifteen minutes away.
Facilities: There's a dishwasher, WiFi, and parking right by the cottage. Bedding is included. The garden is enclosed. It's got a 4 Star rating.
