The Old Cowsheds 2 - Shippon
The Old Cowsheds 2, or Shippon, is in Cribyn, which is between Lampeter and Aberaeron. It's one of a few converted farm buildings on the same site.
It's a 5 Star property. That means it's well finished and has good fittings. It's all on one level, more or less. You come in through the main living area. The floors are tile and underfloor heating. The bathroom is a wet room with a walk-in shower. There's a seat and grab rails fitted.
There are two bedrooms. One has a king-size bed. The other is a twin. The twin room has a bit more space around the beds. The king room is fine but a bit cosier. The patio outside is enclosed. It's got a gas barbecue and looks out over the field and the river. There's a portable ramp from the French doors to the patio.
The whole place sits in about 8 acres of shared grounds. You can walk down to the river. It's very quiet.
For facilities, you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a smart TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
Lampeter is about ten minutes away by car. It has two supermarkets, some takeaways, and a few coffee shops. Aberaeron on the coast is about twenty minutes. It's a nice little harbour town with coloured houses. Good for fish and chips and ice cream.
There's a lot of walking nearby, both along the coast and inland in the Cambrian Mountains. The Ceredigion Coastal Path is the main one. The National Trust's Llanerchaeron estate is a short drive away for a day out. New Quay and other beaches are within half an hour.
It sleeps four. No pets, sorry.
