Y Smithy

This is Y Smithy in Pencarreg. It's an old blacksmith's forge from 1826, so the main room is one big open space. You get the feeling of the history, but it's been fixed up.

It's for two people. There's one bedroom up on a mezzanine level above the living area. You look down from the bed. The bathroom has a shower. There's a log burner for colder nights and a Smart TV.

The kitchen area is small but it's got what you need: an electric hob, a microwave, an air fryer, and a fridge. You can eat at the table there. Outside, there's about an acre of shared grounds to walk around. It's quiet.

The village of Llanybydder is close. It's a proper working market village. For a walk or a mountain bike ride, Brechfa Forest is right there. The Teifi River is good for fishing.

Lampeter is a short drive away. It's a university town with some nice cafes and shops. The National Trust's Llanerchaeron estate is about a 20 minute drive, good for a wander around the gardens. If you want the coast, Aberaeron and New Quay are within half an hour. You can see dolphins from New Quay sometimes.

Other things nearby: the Dolaucothi Gold Mines and Cors Caron nature reserve. The facilities list says golf and horse riding are local too.

You can bring up to three dogs. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right there and Wi-Fi. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean.
