Penlan Cottage
Penlan Cottage is in Cwrtnewydd. It's a detached cottage, built a long time ago. Sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a bath and a shower over it.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The ceilings are low in places, and the stairs are cottage stairs, so a bit steep. There's a wood burner. You get a starter pack of logs.
The garden is enclosed. There's a gravelled area with a table and chairs, and a barbecue. You can bring bikes, there's space to store them undercover.
The nearest shop and pub are about three miles away, in Llanybydder. Lampeter is about ten minutes by car. It's a university town with a few shops and cafes. There's a market and a quilt museum.
The coast is about half an hour's drive. New Quay is good for boat trips and you can often see dolphins from the harbour. Aberaeron is a nice Georgian harbour town with colourful houses. There are plenty of beaches that way.
If you like walking, the Wales Coast Path is accessible from lots of points along the coast. For history, the Dolaucothi Gold Mines are about a 25 minute drive. You can go underground and try panning for gold.
Inside, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot. No pets, sorry.
