This is Y Cartws. It's in Llanwenog, next to the village church. It’s a detached stone cottage. The garden’s your own and it’s a decent size, partly lawn and partly woodland.
It sleeps five. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bedroom is on the ground floor with twin beds. There’s a family bathroom down there with a bath and shower over it. The main bedroom is upstairs with a king-size bed and its own shower room.
The stairs are fine but they are cottage stairs, a bit steep. The upstairs lounge is big and looks out over fields.
The kitchen is open plan with an Aga and a regular oven, so you have a choice. There’s a dishwasher. We’ve put in an electric car charger in the parking area.
You can bring two dogs. Everything else for living is provided, bedding, towels, washing machine, that sort of thing.
Location wise, it’s quiet. Lampeter is about ten minutes by car. You’ll find supermarkets, pubs, and some decent small shops there.
If you like walking or cycling, Brechfa Forest is about 20 minutes away. The coast takes about half an hour. New Quay, Aberaeron, and Llangrannog are all good spots. You might see dolphins from New Quay.
For history, the Dinefwr estate near Llandeilo is about 25 minutes. The Dolaucothi Gold Mines are a bit further, maybe 40 minutes.
