Lisset
This is Lisset. It's on a quiet park just outside Newton Stewart. The park is family run and calm. It's about a ten minute walk into the town centre.
It's a detached lodge that sleeps five. There are three bedrooms: a double, a twin, and a single. One bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean without being high-end.
The living space is open plan, with the kitchen at one end. Patio doors open out onto a deck at the back. It gets the sun in the morning. It's a good spot for a coffee.
Newton Stewart is handy. There's a Co-op, some cafes, and pubs. The Creebridge Hotel is just up the road and does food. The main reason people come here is for the outdoors. The Galloway Forest Park starts just north of the town. It's a huge area for walking and cycling. It's also a Dark Sky Park, so if you're here on a clear night, the stars are good.
Within half an hour's drive you've got a few options. The coast south of here is rugged. Port Patrick and the Machars are worth a trip. Wigtown, Scotland's book town, is about twenty minutes away. If you golf, there are several courses around, including the one at Newton Stewart itself.
Facilities: all the basics are here. TV, washing machine, parking right outside. Bedding is included. You can bring up to two dogs.
