Kirroughtree Steading 1

This is Kirroughtree Steading 1, on the edge of Newton Stewart. It's one of two semi-detached cottages, side by side. You've got your own enclosed garden at the back, which is handy.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both en-suite, so two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It feels solid, not flimsy.

The setting is quiet. You can walk straight out the door into the woods. The Galloway Forest Dark Sky Park starts right there. If the sky's clear at night, you can just stand in the garden and look up.

For mountain biking, it's very straightforward. The Kirroughtree trailhead of the 7Stanes is practically on the doorstep. For walkers, Glentrool is close by too. Newton Stewart itself is about a twenty minute walk. It's a proper town with shops, a small supermarket, and places to eat. There's a pub about a mile away.

The coast is about eight miles. You've got places like Port William and the Machars peninsula. Lots of quiet beaches and little harbours. If you want bigger towns, Castle Douglas and Kirkcudbright are about half an hour's drive. Both are good for a wander and something to eat.

Inside, it's got what you need: a washing machine, TV, wifi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
