Willow Lodge is on our farm outside Creetown. It's not really a cottage, it's a modern lodge. Detached, so it's all yours. The views look right out over the Solway Firth. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's very well equipped and finished.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. That's handy. We allow two dogs. The patio is enclosed, which helps with that.
You're on a working farm, sheep and dairy. It's quiet. If you ride, we have stabling you can book. The place is right on the Creetown to Kirroughtree path, so you can walk or cycle from the door. The Galloway Forest Park starts pretty much at the end of the track. It's massive. Good for deer spotting and proper dark skies at night.
Creetown village is about a mile away. There's a shop, a pub, and a couple of places to eat. Newton Stewart is a ten minute drive for more shops. For a day out, Castle Douglas is the food town, about half an hour. Kirkcudbright is an artist's place, also about thirty minutes. The coast at Garlieston is about fifteen minutes by car.
Inside, it's all open plan. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. The whole place is on one level, with grab rails in the bathrooms. Bedding and towels are included. We provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is right outside.
