Crofthouse
Crofthouse is in Wigtown, which is Scotland's book town. It's a detached house, brand new, finished in 2023. It's on a quiet street just off the main drag.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom is downstairs, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's fresh and clean, everything works like it should.
The back garden is sunny and enclosed. You get the patio doors from the kitchen-diner.
Wigtown itself has bookshops, a few cafes, a pub. It's a proper little place. The Wigtown Book Festival is a big deal if you're here at that time.
Location-wise, you're right in the middle of Dumfries and Galloway. The coast is about fifteen minutes south. There are some nice sandy bits around Sandhead and Port William. For hills and forests, you've got the Galloway Forest Park about half an hour north. It's a Dark Sky Park if you're into that.
If you want to cycle, the 7 Stanes trails are within a half hour drive. There's local fishing if that's your thing. Plenty of golf courses around too.
Facilities: it's got parking, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a highchair if you need one. No pets, sorry.
