The Coach House is in Spittal, near Glenluce. It's a semi-detached cottage by itself next to the Mochrum Park grounds. It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean.
The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you have dogs. You can have up to three. There's parking right outside.
Inside, the sitting room is a good size and has a wood burning stove. The kitchen is modern and has what you need. The dining room has French doors that open to the garden, and you can see the Galloway Hills from there. The stairs are a bit steep, typical for a place like this.
You're a short walk from the River Bladnoch if you're into fishing. For walking or cycling, there are miles of quiet lanes around here. The Galloway Forest Park is a big draw for that, and for seeing wildlife like deer. The 7Stanes mountain bike trails at Kirroughtree are about a 30 minute drive. There are a few golf courses locally too.
The coast is about 20 miles away, so you'd drive for a beach day. The nearest pub and restaurant is in Glenluce, about seven miles.
It has a washing machine, TV, and a cot if needed. Bedding and towels are included. You can book it with the other cottages here if you're a bigger group.
For planning, the Visit Scotland South West site is useful.
