The Coach House
The Coach House is in Spittal, near Wigtown. It's a semi-detached cottage. It's part of a small estate called Mochrum Park. You get your own enclosed garden. It looks out towards the Galloway Hills.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's modern and clean inside. There's a log burner in the living room. The kitchen has what you need to cook.
The River Bladnoch is a short walk away. You can fish for trout there. Salmon fishing is available close by too.
It's a good spot for walking and cycling. The roads around here are very quiet. The 7Stanes mountain bike trails at Kirroughtree are about half an hour's drive. There are several golf courses nearby.
The coast is about a twenty minute drive. There are some good sandy beaches and little villages to explore. The Galloway Forest Park is about forty minutes away. It's huge, with lots of lochs and wildlife.
The nearest pub and restaurant is in Wigtown, which is about seven miles away. That's also where you'll find the main shops.
For facilities: there's a washing machine, a cot, bedding and towels are included, and there's parking right outside. You can bring up to three dogs.
