The Haven
The Haven is in Bladnoch, which is about a mile from Wigtown. It's a small cottage that sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's been done up to a high standard and it's very clean.
We completely refurbished it in 2020. The living room has a wood burner and the kitchen is modern. There's a hot tub in the garden, which is enclosed. Access to the garden is from a balcony off the kitchen, down seven steps.
The Bladnoch Distillery is about 200 yards up the road. They have a shop and do tours. There's a pub and restaurant right opposite the distillery. Wigtown, the book town, is a mile away for more shops, cafes, and galleries.
You're not far from the coast here. The nearest beach is about six miles. The Galloway Forest Park and Dark Sky Park are close by if you like walking or stargazing. There are good mountain bike trails at the 7Stanes centres like Kirroughtree, and plenty of local golf courses.
Facilities wise: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking on site.
