Culbae Cottage
Culbae Cottage is a cottage on our working farm. It's detached. We finished renovating it in 2022, so everything's pretty new inside. It's got two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Sleeps four.
The back garden is fully enclosed. That's handy if you've got dogs or kids. There are patio doors from the living room out into it.
Inside, it's straightforward. Modern kitchen with a dishwasher, washing machine. The living room has a woodburning stove. It's a 4 Star place, which covers the basics well.
You're on a farm here, so it's quiet. The village of Whauphill is a couple of miles away for a shop. The coast is about five miles drive. Port William is there. It's a small harbour. You can get a meal looking out at the water.
If you want to explore, you're well placed. Wigtown, the book town, is about a twenty minute drive. The Bladnoch Distillery is nearby if you like whisky tours. For bigger walks or mountain biking, the Galloway Forest Park and the 7Stanes trails are within half an hour. Good links for planning that: Galloway Forest Park and 7Stanes Mountain Biking.
There's on-site parking. The main entrance is wheelchair accessible. We allow up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included.
