Galloway Farmstay - Broughton
This is Galloway Farmstay. It's a detached house near Garlieston, on a farm. It sits by itself so it's quiet. The views from the windows are over the fields.
It sleeps eight people. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after. The kitchen has everything you'd need to cook for a group. There's a big wood burner in the sitting room. It works well.
You're about three miles from Garlieston village. There's a beach there you can walk along. The coast around here is good, quite rugged with some quieter beaches. The Mull of Galloway is the southernmost point. It's an RSPB reserve, so lots of seabirds in season.
Inland, you've got the Galloway Forest Park. It's huge, good for walking. The 7Stanes mountain bike trails are at Kirroughtree, which is about a 30 minute drive. Wigtown is Scotland's book town, about a 20 minute drive. Newton Stewart is a bit bigger for shops, also around 20 minutes.
Facilities: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
