Cotters Cottage

Cotters Cottage is one of two cottages here. They're detached from each other. It's on our working cattle farm, so you'll see cows in the fields around you.

It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The entrance and main rooms are all on the ground floor and are wheelchair accessible. The doorways are standard width though, so check the specifics if you use a chair.

The cottage has its own enclosed garden with a patio. You can bring up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, a cot, and a highchair if you need them. Wi-Fi and TV are there. Parking is right outside.

You're about three miles from the coast. The nearest shop is a mile away. The closest pub and restaurant are about three miles.

The area is good for walking. The Galloway Forest Park is a short drive away, it's a Dark Sky Park so the stars are very clear on a good night. There are lots of lochs and waterfalls inland. On the coast, the beaches are sandy in places. You might see seals. The Mull of Galloway is the southernmost point in Scotland, the views from the lighthouse are extensive.

Within half an hour's drive you've got Wigtown, which is a book town with several shops, and the Isle of Whithorn is a pretty little harbour. For a wider range of shops, Newton Stewart is about twenty-five minutes away.
