Oor Wee Hoose is in Whithorn, which is a small village in the Machars part of Galloway. It's a townhouse right in the middle of the place, set back a bit from the main street. It sleeps four people.
There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms, so it's a bit roomier than you might think for four people. It's got a 4 Star rating. We did it up a couple of years ago, so it's in good order. The garden out the back is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing a dog.
The stairs are a typical townhouse size. There's a stairgate at the top.
There's a shop about fifty metres away for basics. The village has a pub and a restaurant. The Isle of Whithorn is a five-minute drive down the road. It's a nice little harbour with a tea room and another pub.
The coast is about three miles away. There are some good sandy beaches, like at Monreith. For a proper walk, the Galloway Forest Park is about half an hour's drive. It's a dark sky park, so the stars are good on a clear night. Wigtown, the book town, is about fifteen minutes away. Newton Stewart is twenty minutes.
In the house, you've got a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need it. We allow one well-behaved dog. There's bike storage around the back.
