The rating is 3 Star. It's comfortable and clean, not luxurious. You get the whole place to yourself, including the garden. The views over the fields are good. It's very quiet out here.

The village is about a mile away. There's a shop, a pub, and a restaurant there. There's an authentic Italian restaurant in the next village, which is also about a mile.
The coast is about a mile's walk. Garlieston has a little harbour and a beach. You can walk from here. For a bigger beach, Port William is a short drive. Galloway House Gardens are nearby if you like walking in woodland.
Wigtown, which is Scotland's book town, is close. Newton Stewart is about a 20-minute drive. It has the Craft Gin Distillery and the Bladnoch whisky distillery. The Galloway Forest Park is about half an hour away. It's huge, with forest trails and lochs. You might see deer. The 7 Stanes mountain bike trails are also within reach.
