Seaview is in Garlieston. It's an end of terrace house right by the harbour. As the name suggests, it looks straight out over the bay. The view is the main thing.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both doubles. Two bathrooms upstairs which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it’s comfortable and well looked after. The house is old, part of an old mill conversion from the 1800s, so the walls are thick and the windowsills are deep. The stairs are normal.
There's a shop, a pub, and a restaurant about five minutes' walk away. The village is quiet.
You're on the Machars Peninsula. The coastline is rugged with some good sandy beaches a short drive away. Galloway Forest Park is about half an hour by car for proper walks or dark sky spotting. The Seven Stanes mountain bike trails are in that area too.
Wigtown, which is Scotland's book town, is close. Whithorn has its historic priory. Newton Stewart is the nearest bigger town for shops and supermarkets.
For facilities: the electricity is included, there's Wi-Fi, a TV, a washing machine, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are provided. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
