Quiet
This is Quiet, in Sorbie. It's one of two cottages next to each other, converted from an old byre on our farm.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well equipped. You park right outside.
It's a working organic farm. We have dairy cows and make cheese here, which you can buy from the farm shop. It's quiet, but it's a farm, so you'll hear the normal farm noises during the day.
The cottage looks out over fields towards the Galloway Hills. The Machars coast is a short drive away, maybe ten minutes. There are some good sandy beaches, like Garlieston or Monreith.
For a bigger shop or a pub meal, Newton Stewart is about a 15 minute drive. It's got supermarkets, places to eat, and a cinema. Wigtown, which is the book town, is also close.
The area is good for walking. The Galloway Forest Park is a big draw for that, or you can walk sections of the Southern Upland Way. The "Seven Stanes" mountain bike trails are nearby if that's your thing.
Inside, it's got everything you'd need. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
