Drumwherry By The Sea

Drumwherry By The Sea is in Monreith, which is a small place on the coast between Port William and Portpatrick. It's a cottage, one of a row.

It sleeps five people. There are three bedrooms and one shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The garden at the back is enclosed. It's mainly lawn with some shrubs, and it's a nice spot to sit if the sun's out.

The main living room is at the front. The kitchen leads into a conservatory, which you use as a dining room. That looks over the garden.

The St Medans Golf Course is right across the road. It's a nine-hole course. You can see the sea from there. Monreith Beach is a short walk downhill. It's sandy, quite long. Good for a walk or letting the dog run.

Port William is a few miles east. It has a shop and places to eat. Portpatrick is about twenty minutes west by car. It's a pretty harbour village with pubs and restaurants. Further west from there you get to the Mull of Galloway, which is the southern tip of Scotland. The RSPB has a reserve there. The views are good on a clear day.

The Logan Botanical Gardens are worth a visit, about half an hour's drive. They have a lot of unusual plants because the climate here is quite mild.

Facilities in the cottage: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
