Drumwherry By The Sea

Drumwherry By The Sea is in Monreith, down by the coast in Dumfriesshire. It's a three bedroom cottage, sleeps five. It's got a 4 Star rating so it's comfortable, just not huge or brand new everywhere. There's one bathroom with a shower.

Inside, it's a proper cottage. The living room is cosy. The kitchen leads through to a conservatory you can eat in, which looks out over the back garden. The garden is enclosed and private. You can bring one dog.

Monreith itself is very small. You're a short walk from Monreith Beach, which is a long, sandy beach good for a swim or a walk. There's a golf course, St Medans, just over the road. It's a 9-hole course.

For shops or a cafe, you'd drive a few miles to Port William. Portpatrick and the Isle of Whithorn are nice for a visit, and the Mull of Galloway is worth the drive to say you've been to Scotland's most southerly point. The RSPB reserve is there if you like birdwatching.

Logan Botanic Garden is about half an hour away by car. If you want to go inland, the Galloway Forest Park isn't too far either.

What's here: parking, enclosed garden, wifi, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.

For planning, the National Parks site is useful, and National Trust for Scotland has info on places nearby.
