This is Sea-Esta in Port William. It's a semi-detached cottage, so you've got neighbours on one side. The main thing here is the beach. It's at the bottom of the garden, down some steps. It's a pebble beach, not sand, but the view out over Luce Bay is really good. On a clear day you can see right down to the Mull of Galloway and sometimes even the Isle of Man.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating, which means it's in good order. The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you have children or a dog. We don't accept pets, I'm afraid.
You're right in the village. There's a shop about a hundred yards away, and a coffee shop and bar down by the harbour, maybe 250 yards. They do food and you can sit and look out at the sea. The village has won some awards for how it looks.
If you're here for the outdoors, you can walk or cycle from the door. There's golf nearby, and fishing. Wigtown, which is a book town, is about a fifteen minute drive. Whithorn and the Isle of Whithorn are within half an hour. They're interesting for history.
Inside, it has what you'd need. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if needed. Parking is on site.
For planning days out, the VisitScotland Galloway page is useful, and the National Trust for Scotland page for Galloway Forest Park is good if you're heading inland.
