River Cottage
River Cottage is in Bladnoch, which is a few miles outside Newton Stewart. It's a terraced cottage, part of a row. The front looks directly across the lane to the River Bladnoch. The back garden is enclosed, which is good if you have dogs. It looks out over fields.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's been well updated inside. There's a wood burning stove in the lounge. The stairs are the usual cottage sort.
The garden is secure. There's a tap out there to wash down bikes or muddy boots. There's a play park just down the road, about a hundred yards.
There's a pub and restaurant a short walk away in the village. For shops, Newton Stewart is about a ten minute drive. Wigtown, the book town, is even closer.
You're well placed for getting out. The coast and some good beaches are about half an hour's drive. The Galloway Forest Park is nearby for walking and the dark skies. For mountain biking, the 7Stanes trails at Kirroughtree and Glentrool are close by. There are several golf courses around.
For facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, a TV, and a BBQ. Bedding and towels are included. A cot and highchair are there if you need them. It says it takes two pets.
