Culpee House

Culpee House is a detached house on a quiet lane in Newton Stewart. It's right by the River Cree. There's a gated garden, so it's fully enclosed.

It sleeps six people. There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms, which is handy. The whole place is wheelchair accessible at the entrance. It has a 4 Star rating.

You can bring two dogs. The garden is good for that. Inside, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are all included.

You can walk into Newton Stewart for the shops, a pub, and a restaurant. It's about 500 yards. The Galloway Forest Park and the Wood of Cree Nature Reserve are right on the doorstep for walking. The Forest Park is a Dark Sky Park, so the stars are good on a clear night.

For mountain biking, the Glentrool and Kirroughtree trails are nearby. They're part of the 7 Stanes. There's a dedicated bike storage area here. The coast is about five miles away if you fancy the beach. The Machars Peninsula has a mix of sandy beaches and rocky coves to explore.

Castle Douglas, Gatehouse of Fleet, and Kirkcudbright are all within a 30 minute drive for a day out. They're known for food, history, and art respectively.
