Riverside is a terraced cottage in Newton Stewart. It's just two of you, it sleeps two. There are two bedrooms but it's really set up for a couple.
It's on the bank of the River Cree. You can hear the water from the back. The town's shops and places to eat are a few minutes' walk away, maybe 250 yards. There's a pub down the road.
The cottage has a 4 Star rating. It's been done up nicely. Everything's clean and works. You get bedding and towels. There's a washing machine, a shower, and parking right outside.
You're well placed for getting out. The Galloway Forest Park is right there, which is a Dark Sky Park. Good if you like stars. For walking or mountain biking, Glentrool and Kirroughtree are close. The 7Stanes trails are nearby too.
The coast is about a 20 minute drive. You've got the Machars peninsula there, with sandy beaches and little villages. Wigtown, the book town, is not far. If you drive for half an hour you can get to places like Culzean Castle up the coast.
