Low Cordorcan Penninghame

Low Cordorcan is a cottage near Newton Stewart, in Dumfriesshire. It's semi-detached, joined onto the owner's house. You share the big garden with the owners, but you've got your own space. It's very quiet.

It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating.

The big thing here is the location. You're basically at the edge of the RSPB Wood of Cree nature reserve. It's ancient woodland. You can walk straight from the door. There's a viewing platform by the river where you might see otters, especially early or late. In spring, the bluebells are good. Birdwatchers like it.

For supplies, Newton Stewart is about five miles away. It's got supermarkets, shops, and places to eat. The nearest pub and restaurant are about that distance too.

If you want to explore, you're well placed. It's good for walkers and cyclists. The 7Stanes mountain bike trails are nearby at Kirroughtree. There are several golf courses within a short drive. The Galloway Forest Dark Sky Park is about a 20 minute drive for stargazing. The coast, with beaches and little villages, is about half an hour away.

Inside, it's open plan. There's a TV, WiFi, and a washing machine. All bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. You can store bikes. No pets, sorry.

It can be booked together with the detached cottage next door, Wee Cordorcan, if you need more space for up to six people.
