Kirroughtree Steading 2
Kirroughtree Steading 2 is a semi-detached cottage near Newton Stewart. It's one of a pair, but you have your own enclosed garden.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one double and one twin. There's a bathroom upstairs and a shower room downstairs, which is useful. It's been all done up recently, so everything is clean and works. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable.
The living room has patio doors out to the garden. It's a quiet spot with woods right there. You can walk into Newton Stewart. It's a small town with shops and places to eat.
If you're here for biking, the 7Stanes trails at Kirroughtree and Glentrool are right on your doorstep. Good for walkers too. The Galloway Forest Dark Sky Park is just on the edge of town, so if you're into stargazing, it's very dark at night. There's fishing and golf nearby if that's your thing.
For a day out, you can drive to the coast. There are some good beaches and little villages along the Machars. Castle Douglas and Kirkcudbright are both about half an hour away. One's known for food, the other for artists, both have nice shops and cafes.
Facilities: it's got a washing machine, WiFi, TV, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
