Kirroughtree Steading 2
This is Kirroughtree Steading 2. It's near Newton Stewart in Dumfries and Galloway. It's a semi-detached cottage, one of two, with its own private garden.
It was all redone last year, so everything's fresh and modern. It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs: one double, one twin. There's a bathroom up there and a separate shower room on the ground floor.
The living room has patio doors out to the garden. The kitchen's modern. It's got all the things you'd expect: WiFi, TV, washing machine, parking. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
You can walk into Newton Stewart. There's a few shops, cafes and a pub. For a bigger shop, Castle Douglas is about half an hour away.
The location is good if you're outdoorsy. You can walk straight from the door into the woods. For cycling, the Kirroughtree and Glentrool trailheads for the 7Stanes are very close. There's local fishing if that's your thing.
The coast is about twenty minutes by car. There are some good beaches and little villages around The Machars. Kirkcudbright, which has a lot of art galleries, is roughly half an hour's drive.
