Merrick
Merrick is an apartment on the first floor in Newton Stewart. It's been done up recently, so everything's fresh. You get the living room, kitchen, and dining all in one space at the front, looking out over the main street.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean.
You're right in the middle of the town. There are shops, cafes, and pubs all on your doorstep. It's handy.
The reason you'd stay here is for the outdoors. The Galloway Forest Park is a short drive away. That's where the Dark Sky Park is, if you're into stargazing. The coast around here has proper rugged bits and some quiet sandy beaches too. The Logan Botanical Gardens are worth a visit if you like gardens.
If you like walking or cycling, it's all here. There are trails at Glentrool and Kirroughtree. The 7Stanes mountain biking is close by. There's local fishing and a few golf courses within easy reach.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, a TV, and a cot if you need one. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
