The Old Stable At Henley View

The Old Stable is in Draycott, Somerset. It's an annexe to the main farmhouse. It's for two people only.

It's a 5 Star place, which means it's been finished to a high standard. It's clean, modern, and everything works. You get the whole space to yourselves. It's open plan downstairs. The sofa, dining table and kitchen are all in one room. There are French doors that open onto a deck. The views from there are good. On a clear day, you can see right out to the sea.

Upstairs is the bedroom and an en-suite shower room. The stairs are a standard staircase, not a ladder, which is worth mentioning as some places like this have those. It has underfloor heating downstairs. There's a washing machine and tumble dryer in a separate utility room. It has an electric vehicle charger.

You're about ten minutes' drive from Cheddar. The Gorge is there. It's run by the National Trust. It's impressive, a big crack in the hills. You can walk along the top or go into the caves.

Wells is about twenty minutes away. The cathedral is the main thing. Glastonbury Tor is maybe twenty-five minutes. You can climb up it. The Mendip Hills are all around here for walking. For the coast, Weston-super-Mare is roughly twenty-five minutes. It's got a long sandy beach and a pier.

Bath is just under an hour's drive if you fancy a day out. You need to book for the Roman Baths.

There's a local pub in the village, a few minutes' walk. It serves food. There's on-site parking. Everything like bedding and towels is included. No pets, I'm afraid.
