Premium Lake Lodge 2
This is Premium Lake Lodge 2. It's a single-storey lodge on the edge of Chichester, near the sailing club. It looks out over the lake.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms. One has a double bed with its own shower room. The other has bunk beds, and there's a separate family shower room too. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's modern, clean and functional. It's not a luxury lodge, but it's comfortable and everything works.
Inside, it's one open space. The kitchen area has a two-ring electric hob and a combi microwave oven. There's a TV and WiFi. All bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside.
The city centre is about a 20 minute walk away, or a very short drive. Chichester Cathedral is the main sight. The Festival Theatre is there too, if that's your thing. The whole centre is inside the old walls, so it's compact and easy to walk around.
You're here for the water, though. The lodge is on Chichester Watersports. You can organise sailing or windsurfing lessons there. Chichester Harbour is about a ten minute drive south. It's an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, really peaceful for a walk. West Wittering beach is a 20 minute drive. It's a good, sandy beach, but it gets busy in summer.
If you head north, you're in the South Downs. The view from Trundle Hill back over Goodwood is worth the trip. Goodwood is known for horse racing and the Festival of Speed.
There's a local shop and a couple of places to eat within a few minutes' walk. For a proper pub, you'll need to drive into town or to a village nearby.
