Riggers Cottage is on the waterfront in Bosham. It's a town house, right on the lane. The tide comes right up past the front gate, which is fun.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, and two bathrooms which is handy. We've got a 4 Star rating. You can bring one dog.
The front bit is small, just a path to the door and a gate. Out the back is a walled patio garden, with a table. It gets the sun.
The best thing is the view. Because of how the house is set into the slope, the main living room is on the first floor, and the master bedroom is on the top floor. Both look straight out over the harbour. You can watch all the boats. It's part of the Chichester Harbour Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, good for birds.
The stairs inside are a bit steep and narrow. It's an old place.
You're right in the middle of the village. Two pubs and a restaurant are a few minutes' walk. The historic church and the little craft shops are about 250 yards away. The proper shop is a mile up the road.
For beaches, you drive. The sandy ones at the Witterings or East Head are about 20 minutes away. Chichester is ten minutes by car. It's got the theatre, a cinema, shops and a leisure centre.
Goodwood is close. You can go for the horse racing or the motor circuit. The Weald & Downland Living Museum is great if you like that sort of thing. Arundel Castle is about half an hour's drive.
Portsmouth is 25 minutes away if you want the historic dockyard. Brighton, Southampton and the New Forest are all within an hour if you fancy a day out.
What's here: WiFi, TV, a washing machine, dishwasher. There's a wood burner for colder nights. Bedding is included. You can park one car on the drive.
