Lake Lodge 1 is a single-storey lodge on Chichester Lake. It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms: one double, one with bunk beds, and a family shower room.
It's a 4 Star place. That means it's comfortable and clean, but not luxurious. It's an open plan layout with the living area and kitchen together. The kitchen has a two-ring electric hob and a combination microwave oven. The deck outside looks right over the water.
The local shop, supermarket and a few places to eat are about a hundred yards away. For a pub, you'd need to drive about fourteen miles. The city centre is either a twenty-minute walk or a very short drive.
You're here for the water or for the city. The on-site watersports centre is open from April to October. They also run a boat service across the lake for breakfast and meals before 7pm.
Chichester itself is good for walking. The cathedral and the old city walls are worth seeing. The Festival Theatre puts on good shows. A twenty-minute drive gets you to West Wittering beach, which is a very good sandy beach. Chichester Harbour is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, great for boats and wildlife.
If you head north, you're in the South Downs. The view from Trundle Hill over Goodwood is worth the trip. Goodwood is about eight miles away for the racecourse or the festival events.
Facilities included are bedding, towels, TV, WiFi, and parking. No pets.
