Lake Lodge 1 is a single-storey lodge on the edge of a lake, near Chichester Watersports. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. One has a double bed, the other has bunk beds. There's one family shower room. The rating is 4 Star, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable.
The living area and kitchen are open plan. The kitchen has a two-ring electric hob and a combi microwave oven, so it's fine for simple meals. There's a deck outside with a good view over the lake.
The watersports centre is open from April to October. They run a boat service across the lake that serves breakfast, lunch, and early evening meals, but only until 7pm. There are other places to eat and pubs a very short walk away. The nearest shop is about 100 yards.
Chichester city centre is about a 20-minute walk or a short drive. It's a nice walk in, past the cathedral and within the old walls. The Chichester Festival Theatre is there, which is very good.
If you head the other way, Chichester Harbour is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's a short drive. West Wittering beach is about 20 minutes by car, it's a proper sandy beach.
North of the city, you get to the South Downs. The view from the Trundle, looking back over Goodwood racecourse, is worth the drive.
Facilities include a TV, WiFi, and parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
