Lake Lodge 4 (Wheelchair Friendly)
This is Lake Lodge 4. It's a small holiday lodge on the edge of Chichester Watersports Lake in West Sussex.
It's built to be wheelchair friendly. There's a ramp to get in, and inside the corridor is wider than usual. The shower room is adapted. It sleeps four people in two bedrooms. One is a double. The other has bunk beds. That room is a bit narrow because of the wider corridor, so it's best for kids.
The living area is open plan with the kitchen. You get an electric hob and a combi microwave oven, which also works as a conventional oven. There's a TV and WiFi. All the bedding and towels are included.
Outside, you look out over the lake. There's a boat service that runs across to the café and the watersports centre from April to October. The café does breakfast, lunch, and early evening meals. There's a pub nearby too. The city centre of Chichester is about a 20-minute walk or a very short drive.
If you're coming here, it's probably for the water. The Chichester Watersports centre is right there for things like sailing and paddleboarding. The lake is part of Chichester Harbour, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's good for walks and birdwatching.
About a 20-minute drive away is West Wittering beach. It's a nice sandy beach. Goodwood Racecourse is nearby too, up on the South Downs. For a day out, the National Trust has several properties in the area, like Petworth House.
