Lake Lodge 4 (Wheelchair Friendly)

This is Lake Lodge 4. It's called wheelchair friendly because it's got a ramp up to the front door, an adapted shower room, and we've made the corridor a bit wider to get through.

It's a compact lodge that sleeps four. There's one double bedroom and a bunk bedroom. The bunk room is a bit narrower because of that wider corridor, so it's best for kids really. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and all the basics are in good order.

The main thing is the view. It looks right out over the lake at Chichester Watersports. Between April and October, a little boat ferry runs from near the lodges across to the watersports centre and café on the other side. The café does breakfast, lunches, and early evening meals.

The lodge itself has a combined living and kitchen area. There's an electric hob and a combi microwave and oven. Outside, you've got a space to sit that looks out over the water.

Chichester city centre is about a twenty minute walk or a very short drive. It's a nice walk in along the canal. The cathedral is the big draw, and the Festival Theatre gets very good shows. There's a pub within walking distance too, and plenty of other places to eat nearby.

If you want to get out on the water, the Chichester Harbour area is a short drive away. It's an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. For a proper beach day, West Wittering is about twenty minutes by car. It's a very good sandy beach.

North of here, you've got the South Downs National Park. The Trundle gives you a great view back over Chichester and the Goodwood estate.

Facilities wise: all bedding and towels are included, there's on-site parking, WiFi, and a TV. The shower is a walk-in, adapted one. No pets, I'm afraid.
