Premium Lake Lodge 1

Premium Lake Lodge 1 is in Chichester. It's a single storey lodge, so everything is on one level. It sleeps four, with a double bed in one room and bunk beds in the other. There are two bathrooms, a shower room in the double and a separate family shower room.

It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and modern. The main thing is the view: you look right out over the lake.

The living area and kitchen are combined. The kitchen has a two-ring electric hob and a combi microwave oven. It's fine for basic meals. There's a TV and WiFi. All your bedding and towels are included.

Outside, there's a seating area at the front with that lake view. You can park right outside.

The lodge is part of the Chichester Watersports place. Between April and October, you can use their facilities. There's a boat that takes you across the lake to their main centre, where they have a café serving food until 7pm. You can walk to a few local places to eat as well.

If you want to go into Chichester city centre, it's a 20-minute walk or a very short drive. It's a nice old city with the cathedral and shops inside the old walls. The Chichester Festival Theatre is there and puts on good shows.

You're well placed for the coast. Chichester Harbour is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, about a 10-minute drive. For a sandy beach, West Wittering is about 20 minutes by car. To the north, the South Downs are about a 15-minute drive. The Trundle hill gives you a great view back over Goodwood.

Useful links for planning: National Trust South Downs and Chichester Harbour Conservancy.

In terms of travel, Chichester has a mainline train station. The nearest proper pub is about a 14-mile drive, so you'd need a car for that.
